This cemetery is behind the West Brookwood Church, located at 12882 Lock 17 Road in Brookwood, Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. Turn off Highway 216, cross the railroad tracks, and the church is a slight distance farther on the left.
When viewing the attached photo of the cemetery, the metal crosses of W.T. Seay and his son F.A. Seay are at the edge of the woods, to the right of the large tree in the center of the photo.
There is an historical marker giving some of the history of the church, and of the Brookwood community in front of the church. There is also a memorial to 13 miners killed Sept. 23rd, 2001 in an accident at the nearby Jim Walters Resources Mine #5. The mine can be seen from the church parking lot.
