According to Laura C. Edward's "Three Centuries in America: Thomas Machen of Middlesex County, Virginia," Henry and Frances (Ballinger) Machen were buried next to each other in the Machen family cemetery, which remained in use until 1905, and was then forgotten about until the late 1960's. The cemetery is now known as the Machen-McKenzie cemetery, and is cared for by an association of descendants, most of whom live locally.
The cemetery is located off Highway 25 on Bracken Road, near the community of Moonville in Greenville County, SC.
